ya lose some :/

Whew, cutting it close tonight! But thanks to my amazing boyfriend, he reminded me that it was almost midnight and I that hadn't made today's entry. How charming is that? You're awesome, babe. :)

I was going to do a lot of walking today so I decided I could leave my camera at home so I wouldn't break it on something. I saw so many great things today, though! I was really upset that I chose today to leave my camera behind. I saw the carcass of a snapper turtle by the sidewalk. Also, an orange and black butterfly. The closer I got to it, the wider it would spread it's wings. As if he was thinking, "I'm really big! I'm really big!" Then later I rediscovered a place that my boyfriend and I had carved our initials into a tree, by chance. a few friends and I were wandering in the woods, and we stumbled upon the area. It was really heartwarming.* And someone had carved a bench out of a tree that had fallen along the path we were on. It was really sweet-looking. I think I might do an "Alice" shoot there with a friend of mine.
Anyway, Since I was stupid and didn't take pictures of any of the cool stuff I saw today, Devin snapped a quick little pose I threw up for the camera instead. Oh well :/

Devin said I needed an updated photo of me. I kinda like it! It's spunky!~ ;P

*As I'm writing this part, I'm listening to a Chopin record I just got, and it's making me really emotional. So, the nostagia's kicking my butt. Wow, this is really good~

yard sale+lemonade+sun=SUMMER

I was out of the house (literally) all day! It was awesome! I woke up at 8am and just got in at 11:30 at night. I sold a few things at my parents yard sale and even got some sun. (Which is kind of a big deal for me.) On the way to a friends house, I bought some lemonade from these kid's lemonade stand. It was pretty good, and it was my first time ever doing that~ So I ended up thinking it was a good idea to take a picture of my mostly empty cup :P But I won't post that picture today. Instead, I snapped a picture of my friend's cigarette case which I drew all over. He liked it. d(^_^)b

So the first day in my quest to inspire others was a success! I brought my camera with me to the diner and our waiter (who we knew from high school) asked me if he could borrow it for a few minutes. He walked off to take pictures of his coworkers! I was so happy to see that he had so much fun doing it!
This was one of the pictures he took.
Everyone hid their faces >.>

We have some really pretty flowers blooming in the garden out front now. I snapped a few pictures. But they're not really anything special.
I went shopping with a friend today. Meaning, I followed her around watching her buy stuff and occasionally giving my 2 cents. Still, I'm glad I got out today.
(At the Old Navy dressing rooms.)

Tonight, I got to enjoy some green tea outside on my porch with a sketchbook watching the rain. It sounds like a nasty storm tonight, I'm so excited! :D I was planning on watching the Smallville season finale tonight but My boyfriend's grandmother had her show to watch and the storm messed with the other TV somehow. Oh well... I'm sure I can catch a rerun.
There's this Alice in Wonderland themed contest on deviantart.com and I'd really like to make an entry! I've asked a friend if she'd like to help and she's so perfect for Alice, it's sick. Hopefully, she'll say yes! :D ~crosses fingers~

Laaaaazy

I spent my day doing nothing and moping in my room all day and I'm pretty upset with myself. I did go out... twice. This is horrible. I whined all winter about how much I wanted it to be summer and how as soon as it gets warmer out I'll be out everyday enjoying it... yeah right. I don't even have an excuse. Well, technically I have an excuse but not a good one. I'm currently unemployed and have been living off of what little money I have and my very understanding and kind boyfriend's money. Not to say that I'm taking his money, but he's been really generous with helping me out. Anyway, I have plenty of things to keep myself occupied. I recently got into archery and I have all the equipment I need at my leisure. I have my art supplies, camera... hell, I have my own two feet to take me somewhere. I refuse to be lazy anymore. At the absolute least, I'll commit to adding 1 new photo everyday on here. It'll help me get the fire under my butt I hope :P

Let's do this

I'm not much of a writer but I do have a passion for photographs. So this blog will most likely consist of pictures I've taken or if I'm feeling really creative I'll post some drawings I've done (like that one!) I'm not friends with the kind of people that are really into the whole technology at your fingertips thing. I know of only a handful that even have internet access on their phone. The point is, I'm not expecting popularity or lots of feedback or anything like that. I wanted to create a space where I can show my creativity and inspire others to pick up a camera or pencil or paintbrush or video recorder or anything... and go nuts. Do something new and exciting. Anything that will make you happy you got out of bed this morning.

So... What was the last thing you created?
